Mercedes-Benz Diesel & Gas Fuel Tank Strainer Tool Screen Removal Kit

The Mercedes Diesels have 3 Fuel Filters. Tank Filter/Strainer, Fuel Pre-Filter and Spin on Filter. The Fuel Strainer is installed at the outlet of the fuel tank and is used to keep large particles out of the fuel system. Very often this filter becomes clogged and the fuel system will suffer.  When clogged it will reduce the amount of fuel able to flow, and can even cause the car to not run at all. The fuel strainer can be cleaned but most often is replaced with a new part. Draining the tank is required and replacing the fuel line is recommended while the tank is drained.
